SEND and SpectrumSunday #70 - WAAW

SEND & Spectrum Sunday

Welcome back for Spectrum and SEND Sunday #70!  This week was World Autism Awareness Week, but we've also had a few other awareness days recently.  Whether autism or any other special educational needs, disabilities, or mental health posts, come share them here.

My favourite post from last week was from Oscar Reviews.  I've never visited this blog before and his is one of their posts from last year - information and an embedded video from Oscar, a 12 year old boy who talks about what his autism is like for him.  As a mum of a lad who is nearly 10 I found this really interesting.   We've got something similar to the black-out tents with the glo pen that he mentions too.

Just a reminder that the linky runs once a fortnight or once a month depending on how we are doing, with my co-hosts Victoria from Starlight and Stories, and Danielle from Somone's Mum. We keep the linky open for the two weeks so everyone can link up.  If you are new to linkies, no worries, you can look at my guide on what they are and what to do.

Thank you once again to all those who linked up and shared posts last week. All your posts have RT'd and re-shared with all our followers and pinned to our Pinterest board so feel free to re-pin or share them there too.

This week I've linked up about the way memories are formed and how the memory is in our Anthony who has autism and ADHD, and my top five autism awareness posts for #WAAW.   I know some of you have read these posts already but they are my fav's from the last two weeks.

How the #spectrumsunday linky operates
  • Our linky runs from 8am every other Sunday for two weeks or four weeks when we are busy ;-)
  • You can add up to two posts or micro-blog posts each - old or new content is all fine by us.  If adding a micro-blog from facebook, make sure you add the link of the post by clicking on the time stamp to copy the link.
  • It would be great if you could choose one host post and one co-host post to comment on each week
  • Then comment on the post before yours and more if you fancy.  If you have any difficulty commenting, please let me or the linker know.  Feel free to share any you'd like to with your followers.
  • This subject can be incredibly emotive so kind and supportive messages only please.
  • It would be great if you tweet your linked posts with #spectrumsunday - we will retweet for you! Just tag us in the tweets @rainbowsaretoo, @2ndtimemama and @mumsomeone
  • If you add a Facebook microblog add the #spectrumsunday to your post and tag the host - this week that's me - Rainbows are too beautiful Facebook
  • For all other posts, please be kind and add our linky badge to the bottom of your post/s so people can find their way back to read other posts (just copy and paste the code below into your HTML - see this guide if you are unsure).

  • Spectrum Sunday

As always we are looking forward to reading your posts.
