WonderfulWednesday: PDA Awareness Day

PanDA

This month's wonderful Wednesday post highlights the great awareness being raised by bloggers last week on PDA, a type of autism.

Autism is a huge spectrum.  If you know one person with autism, then you only really know about that one person's autism.  Both my boys have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) but they are very different.  So it's different for everyone.  And then in some ways it's also not.

Pathalogical Demand Avoidance Syndrome or PDA is a specific type of autism, recognised by the National Autistic Society but often not specifically diagnosed. People with PDA will avoid demands made by others, due to their high anxiety levels when they feel that they are not in control.
Why not make yourself a little more aware today, have a look at the above and check out Dragon Riko's post that asks what you can do too?
