Issues when Anthony's always aloud

Some people are aware that individuals with autism can be sensitive to loud noises so might be confused by our son Anthony.  Although better at school, in most environments Anthony himself is extremely loud.  He seems to operate at maximum volume all the time, and whilst this might be a bit annoying, it also makes it difficult to tell when Anthony is distressed or needs help because when he shouts for it, he's not actually any louder than normal.

  1. Phew! Good save, you must be so switched on, reading this made me feel tired! Having a 4 year old and a 6 month old is exhausting I can only imagine how more more intense it must be for you. Without meaning to sound patronising (and it probably does) you sound like your doing a great job and I admire you!

    1. I was lucky our little girl (2.5) had just started a nap (part of the reason I was still inside). She's growing out of them now. Although, she would have been more capable of alerting me to what was going on if she'd been in the garden too. She's a bit of a tattle tale. xxx
